Which one's the idle screw (Turbo)

Which one's the idle adjust screw? It's a Jspec motor from a Cosmo. I have noticed suttle differences here and there. I don't have a screw on the BAC valve.

thanks

red circle

BTW if u messed with any of the other screws (on your throttle body), Oh man you in for a lot of headaches. Your basically going to have to take it off and put it back to spec. After messing with those screws and ever after putting it back to spec, it was a little off. Never could get it back to normal.

Yup, JSPEC. Thanks anyways, someone will have the answer.

I wanna guess #1 GREEN but I don't want to screw anything up just yet. BTW, the engine is running a Microtech.

Wink

dont listen to those^^^ jokers!!

i have a jspec as you do. it is the blue circle. you cannot adjust your idle with the BAC (as the FSM tells you), b/c there is no screw on the JDM BAC. you will adjust your idle with the blue one.

it's a bit of a hassle, but if your carefull and have a long enough screw driver, you can adjust it with the TMIC on and the car running. if you have a FMIC, then you'll have no prob.

very nice and clean engine bay!!!!!!!

That looks like an S5 engine, not a cosmo.

And #2 is your Idle Adjustment Screw. The others are for various dashpots on the throttle body.

Yeah, you're pretty much screwed for idle adjustment when you have a j-spec.

I can't bring my idle down below 1000 rpm. But oh well.

Microtech with removed emissions including bac.

Thanks for the help guys! It is from a cosmo, the old cosmo's, not the new ones with the huge ports (13BRE). The engine's crazy, it came with no oil sending unit, just a hex plug where it should go just like one other guy on here that had the cosmo motor. You can't even screw in an oil sending unit because of the way the water pipe runs, you can't get the sending unit straight to thread it in. When i got the motor it was an auto. It's got the series 4 upper intake manifold but the series 5 duel tps. It has the knock senser on the center housing though. It came with really weird piece on top of the water pump as well. Nothing like on an Rx-7. I have since swapped in a first gen piece. It's got a couple of other pieces that were different as well but I can't think of them off hand. Here's a few older pics before I got it running. Thanks for the compliments but the engine bay is still kinda thrown together. I need to mount the radiator overflow bottle, get some of the microtech wiring in a loom and clean up some lines. I have my intercooler piping halfway done, just not in.
