the swaps between series' aren't highly talked about because even the people who spend gobs of time doing the swaps wind up with guages inop or clusterfucks for wiring adaptors. i don't think i have ever seen a comprehensive write up of any of the swaps because it is much more labor intensive than most make it sound. you are talking about replacing main harnesses or completely rewiring body plugs all over the car.

i did a S4 n/a to S4 T2 conversion the right way with instrument cluster, transmission, driveline and brakes/hubs to be reffed and by the time i had it all worked out i was exhausted and took about 2 months straight figuring out what needed to be done and done right. adding wires for the cluster and alternator charging system then you have to figure out where to hook up the fuel pump resistor relay and swap around a few pins near the ECU and that was on the same series of car. then again i built that whole car from scratch for a customer so i was a bit put off by the whole thing.

its not so bad... S4 TII chassi with s5 tII engine is easy...
Not sure on s4 n/a chassi w/ s5 tII engine.

What i did to put an s5 engine in my s4 tII
Just skip the front cover swap and run premix. I just did.

Used s4 tps and i used s4 tII injectors.I might of swapped out a few other sensors?(oil press, water temp)
RUnning premix takes care of the whole fornt cover deal.

Oh oh and the s4 tII ecu done deal.

and the S4 t2 AFM, pressure sensor, intake duct etc. none of which he has since it is an n/a S4. sure you slap something together but it won't run right and some things won't work. i guess it all depends if you just want something that works or not.
