OMP caked in oil
Uh oh! Spaghettios!
I was under my car today changing the oil, when I found slick oil caked to the OMP, and soon discovered that is where it is leaking from. It seems to be right at the part where that POS joins with the engine block.
Besides running premix, which i already do, what should I do from here? is there a gasket separarting the OMP from the engine block that can leak in this fashion?
Thanks for any help.

There is an O ring that is oval shaped. You can take off the metering oil pump, remove the O ring which is probably damaged, and replace it with any large O ring of the same cord thickness by cutting it to length and installing it with silicone adhesive. Believe it or not, for low to medium pressure applications, you can cut an O ring and reinstall it with just a clean butt joint at the seam and it won't leak.
I did this to my Integra's fuel pressure regulator O ring about four years ago and have never had it leak. The injector seats and O rings, on the other hand, which are stock . . .

I think in total for both O-Rings it came to $4.50 CDN, I replaced mine about a month and a half ago. No leaks.
Replacing them is easy, too. Do it next oil change. Pull off the pedestal, clean her up and make shiny, and then install the new rings and POW! You'll feel that much better about it.
