Question OMP blocking off?

after reading for 3 hours now on searching for this these are my queshtions.

I would like to do a aviation conversion here but my OMP is leaking therew the shaft orings have ben replaced allready. I gather it will need to be replaced thisis not cost prohibited.

So now after reading therew on blocking it off and going to premix this is what remains unclear to me.

Ok you remove the 2 mounting bolts from it holding it to the housing and pull it off and it nowdangles.

If I am correct here we fab or buy a metal plate and bolt it to the housing where the OMP used to reside covering the hole up.
Thats it! :-) am i right?

Now remove the OMP from the lined so you now have a OMP in your hand and the 4 oil lines are dangling and thats all. now remove the coter shaft. So no one has seemd to say WTF do you do with these 4 oil lines? do i trace them down and cap them off? or what? where do they go?

I am just trying to clear things up in my head here.

Next what ells is oil used for in this engin? what gets lubed buy it?

As well I am about to pull my whol manifold down b/c my 5th and 6th ports arnt working and need cleand I read about some oil injectors in here what do they do do i leave them alone or since i am premixing can i remove them?

Or oil lines do i block these off now? what ones?

heh.. thx for searching btw!

Im laughing becuase the answer is so obvious, I thought no one could get this wrong. But then I always remember how im a ***** sometimes and don't understand that the new guys need more help than a sarcastic remark.

The lines connect to oil injectors on the lower intake manifold and the upper intake manifold. Whether you have the TII or the NA, the locations are pretty much the same. You will have to remove the upper half of the intake system to get at the injectors.

You can start by taking off the throttle body. From here on the NA you should see the injectors and fuel rail, depressurize the fuel system and remove both the fuel lines that connect to the fuel rail where your injectors are located. Now remove the four nuts and the one bolt that hold down that intake manifold, you are going to remove the plenum+upper intake together. If it doesn't come off, start tugging at it like a **** and crack it loose, it may be glued on there after 17 years or so. I don't think I also need to explain to mark your vacuum hoses and disconnect them etc etc.
Anyways after this you'll have access to the oil injectors, take a wrench and screw them out with the lines. Take one of the injectors to your local bolt store, and find some bolts to plug the holes where the injectors used to be. Cut the bolts to the same length as the injector minues the width of the banjo fitting, this way the bolt ends are flush with the inside of the intake, and create less resistance for airflow. Use some RTV gasket sealer on the bolt threads to seal the deal.

You can buy the block off plate from mazdatrix.com
You can start mixing your gas now with 2stroke, 1:100 ratio.
Search on premixing to learn what countless people have said about the pros and cons of premixing before you start this.

To answer the question about what else gets lubed by the engine oil, the oil metering pump injects oil into the combustion area to lube the metal seals that are riding around on the meter housings. The main oil pump supplies oil to the inside of the rotors where they ride on the crank shaft. There are bearings where the rotors meet the shaft, and where the shaft contacts the stationary gears inside the block. These components need constant lubrication as in a piston engine. In a rotary engine, the oil also does approx 30% of the cooling too. If you have a turbo charger, engine oil will also be routed to the turbo bearing housing to lube that.

yea, mostly becuase they all know how to take the banjo fittings off and know where they are. No worries tho.
