Omg wheels: Kosei K1 Racing

Okay, I graduate from high school next week and that means some free cash, maybe, lol. Yippie. This also means new, lighter and wider wheels in time for track season! I really like the Kosei K1 Racing wheels, and they're nice and light, but I don't know if they will fit on an FC. At tirerack.com, they wont let me select the Kosei K1 Racing for an FC, but I know they can fit on an FD. Since stock FD wheels can fit on an FC, will the Kosei K1 Racings fit also? I would like to run 16x7.5's in the front and 16x8.5's in the rear, if possible. Is this a good set up (assuming it fits)? Also, what tire sizes would you recomend? Thanks for your help.

I know these questions are probably asked pretty often, but I didn't really find any good information from searching. And maybe I should post this in the tires/wheels section too.

FD wheels do need spacers to fit, so maybe that's why the website won't let you select the Koseis

wow, that movie sucked.

well, to help with the question, you should go to kosei's web site and find if you can get that size in around 35-40mm offset. otherwise, you will need spacers for them to fit, like said above.

You mean these kind of Koseis right?

These are 15x7, 38mm ofset, but if you can get the 28mm your better off, I have to run spacers or I rub with 225/50/15 Toyo RA1s

Awesome picture! I'm thinking of getting a set of those Kosei's for myself as well! We have them on our Mr2, and they are LIGHT! Thinking of getting 16x7.5 +28mm.... if they even have it in that size.

they fit our cars. you have to cal them up or email them. iirc phil@tirerack.com is the most intelligent person there. a lot of the people they have on the phones are very very stupid.

Those are really nice rims, do they make them in 17's? Or do you guys think the 16'2 are better. Where can we get spacers and which ones should we get??

Yeah, they get them in 17.

Get the right offset (28mm) and you won't need spacers.

I have Kosei K1 racing wheels. I run the 17x7.5 inchers and get no rub at all. I have Pirelli PZero Asymmetrico 215/45/R17 tires that stick real real well and the rims look badass with any FC. Go to www.FAFracing.com and check out my red 88 GTU for pics of my car.

Well, cool. But now I'm not sure what color to get them in. They come in either white, silver or anthracite. The anthracite looks really cool, it's like a sort of dark grey/gunmetal color. Would they look nice on a blaze red TII? I'm not too keen on white, so if not the anthracite, I'll go silver.

I have the 17x7.5 rims....they fit pretty well on the FC. I run 215/45's in the front and 235/45's in the back. Fits nicely for me. No spacers needed.

You can fit 235/45s on the rear wheels on a 17x7.5 inch rim? Sweet I didn't know that!

why such a lot offset? 28 mm?
stock is 40 mm for FC.

Best fitment is anything close to that in 17x8 all aronud or 17x9 in rear and 17x8 in front

Those are reaaaaally nice, but since I have a base... I have 4 lugs. Do they come in 4 lug versions, or am I stuck w/ my phone dials for now?
