Ok, So I Found Where My Resister is...

I found the idle mixture risister, BUT when i turn the screw in either way, it doesn't do anything.... NOTHING happens... Could this device be damaged or be stuck in the "RICH" position?

Are there other ways to lean out my idle? cause thats where i failed my emissions... my idle was too rich.

You might want to pull it and measure resistance - it might be broken.

I don't remember seeing the R and the L.. but i figure the R stands for Rich and the L stands for Lean...

Eitherway.. i turn it both ways, and nothing happens... I know i got the right screw thing to turn. Someone told me when I lean it out it should start idleing rough...
I'm gonna check resistance for it and see how it is.

As penance for having a poor sense of humor at a critical time as this, here is a jpg that has the ringout of the variable resistor. If it does indeed prove good, then you might see if the wire has continuity to the ECU.

The Variable Resistor is for adjusting idle mixture only. It will not affect any other mixtures.
