sure trying to make a short ahifter? or do you have a **** that is to tall for the shift leather boot to reach? I had that happen with a FD and just cut it down after the owner asked me to do it. It worked fine still and the throw is the same.

yea, i just got a rx8 shift **** and i have like 1 inch of the rod showing...lol

Suds had the top part of his S5 shift lever break clean off.
So about 1 inch of the rod was sticking out, and he put an aftermarket **** on that.

The only trap is most aftermarket ***** have undersize set screws.
That can be fixed by tapping them out for a larger set screw.

That's a short piece of heater hose to seal the boot.
