There are a few things that could affect starting.. I heard if you run your car into a lake it may be difficult to start in the future. The same goes for if it gets crushed.
Seriously though, wtf are your symptoms. Does the ************ even turn over? If you don't have power, it's your battery. If you do have power, and it turns over easily, chances are it's FLOODED. This is such a common topic. Remove the IGN fuse, (WOT if it's an S5), and crank it over for about 10 seconds. Stop, repeat about 2-3x. Replace IGN fuse, start car.
If this doesn't work, I'll need a little more information.

Don't mean to correct. But the deflood procedure for both S4's and S5's are to hold the pedal all the way to the floor and crank the engine over. Also its called the EGI fuse.
Here is the deflood instructions from the FAQ:
My car doesn't start
Remember when starting a fuel injected car you should never pump or press the accelerator pedal, but if it won't start it is probably flooded, Hold the accelerator pedal all the way down while cranking, do not pump the pedal. If it still doesn't start after a few tries, Then remove the EGI fuse and crank a couple more times, then re-install the fuse and try starting again. If then the car still fails to start it then you need to remove and clean the spark plugs, put in a teaspoon of good quality 20W50 motor oil or a teaspoon of ATF into the lower sparkplug holes, re-install the spark plugs and try again. Make sure you change your oil after you have started and run the car ASAP.
Try this and let us know if it doesn't work.

Holding the pedel did nothing, pulling the EGI fuse worked wounders on the minor flooding, for the real bad cases i had to do the full pull the pulg, add oil, crank and crank thing.
