OK to move AFM closer to TB?

when constructing my CAI I arranged it so that the AFM comes off of the throttle elbow, followed by my CAI piping. is this ok or will it affect the car?

SHould be fine....

Only problems i can see is that it may get more engine heat, and because its an electric component, its output will vary slightly with its temperature....

also.. It'll get more engine vibration there.. Whcih is most likely why it was mounted to the stock air box.. less vibration that if it was put directly ojnto the engine

I've had mine like that for a few weeks now and noticed no problems. I had to put a little piece of foam between it and the shock tower to stop clattering but it operates normally.
