Oil temp?

I just got an oil temp gauge and went driving this weekend. When I got on the throttle for a while I was get close to 210 degrees, but my water temp stayed around 180 degrees the whole time. Is this normal or should I look into why the oil temp was getting so high?

I'd say you are fine. Oil Temps should never exceed 210F and with you hovering at In around 180F, your okay.

With you just putting In the Guage, how old Is your Oil? Maybe you are seeing the byproduct of old Oil. Your still within exceptable ranges, to say the least buy anything over 210F Is risky business.
