oil pressure sensor wire?
Instead of jackin another thread i decided to just make my own. 87 t-66 said it was under the oil filter on the iron, but i cant seem to find it. http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t...mack/wires.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t...ack/wires2.jpg is it one of those wires? If someone could post a picture of it that would be great. And where is the other end go, if one of those is the correct wire. In the first picture you can see 3 harness but above (in the picture) there is 2 wires without harness. Is any of those the correct one? Sorry for the stupid question but i need to address the situation. I have noticed since my pressure gauge has gone to 0 ive had a hard time starting the car up warm... not sure if its related. Thanks for any help and input, more importantly your time. Nick.

hmm
hmmm, possibly... the end with the hole in the metal is loose, any chance of getting apicture to show where it should be? Thanks for the help though, in the right direction. Thanks again. edit, btw can you see the oil pressure when you turn the key to on, but its not started? I think i found a loose wire, one in the first picture thats fits to a connector coming from the front fuse box. Doesnt show any oil pressure without car turned on though.

there is a yellow or orange wire with a white connector on it in the picture (of the 3 connectors it is the one closest to the top), which could be your oil pressure sender wire. Hard to tell from that pic. See if it slides on to the sender which is right below the oil filter.

The only connector in your pics that it could be is the black one with the yellow wire (pic 2). It slides onto the end of the pressure sender right where I drew an arrow. It will be perpendicular to the sender itself since it's an odd slotted connector.

clips
thanks for the help guys. I was able to find the "nipple" and i clipped the yellow and red wire to that, inbetween i put the other hollowed clip. http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t...mack/clips.jpg http://i515.photobucket.com/albums/t...k/oilclips.jpg c pictures. The pressure is still at 0 when the car is in the "on" position but not actually started. Does the car have to actually be on to c the pressure? Thanks again for your time and knowledge.

Hey heres a quick little tip for ya. If you find that your oil pressure is working, take some dielectric grease and pack the connector full of it (Clean the old gunk out first). Mine stopped working once because it was so full of crap. Since it's right below the oil filter it's an area subject to a lot of grease and oil. The dielectric grease will keep any new dirt out.

Here's another tip...
The main reason all that gunk is there is the oil that spills out of the filter when it's removed.
Before unscrewing the filter, puncture the top with a screwdriver and the oil will drain out first and the whole thing is much less messy.
Stay tuned...next week we'll cover tips for getting tough stains out of your kid's jeans.

So that thing in the bingo pic (red/ yelllow wire- black clip), goes onto the rounded part of the oil pressure sensor that has the arrow pointing to it? Because im having that same problem, but i cant find that wire anywhere!

Yes. But once you clean all the crap off the connector you'll find it's actually white.
