Which oil pan baffling???

Should I go with the Racing Beat/Mazdatrix plate for $50:

Or the ISC Racing oil pan (entire oil pan & baffling) for $95:

by the looks of it, these 2 would differ in these ways:
- the RB/Mazdatrix plate covers more area but is higher up on the pan. The greater coverage would result in better settling of the oil (more surface area = greater reduction of air bubbles) but because of its greater height it may have more room for oil movement (possibly resulting in bubbles created UNDER the baffle from sloshing)

- the ISC Racing pan baffling is lower and would result in less oil bubbling underneath the baffles but it covers less area, though the areas it does cover seem to be the crucial points. I am quite sure the long-straight side of the pan (leftward side of picture) is facing the front of the car, with that layout, the ISC Racing pan has baffling on the left & right sides which focuses more on the major left-right movements of a car taking turns.
- ISC Racing provides me with an extra oil pan.

so what do you guys think? Would getting BOTH the baffle plate AND baffled pan even be an option? Would it be overkill or have unforseen negative effects, like overly prolonged oil return from so much baffling?

I just recently purchased the Racing Beat oil baffle plate. Unfortunately, it is not installed yet.

Although I do not have proven data, I would like to say that installing both products could be overkill and may possibly do more harm than good (too much baffling, increased chance of air bubbles, etc.)

Hmmm...first time I've heard of that.
Can you explain how that would happen?

How come hIGGI's baffle isn't up there?

Well...again, I state that I have no proven data, but here are my thoughts. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

There are several ways to essentially prevent from sloshing around too much in oil pans. I've seen simple ways like a baffle plate, to some other methods that are slightly more complex, like creating chambers in the oil pan (w/ "flapper" doors).

My assumption is that the use of two oil baffle plates, may be excessive. In that, you may not get any additional benefit from the use of an extra baffle plate.

Also, looking at the ISC baffled oil pan, you can see that w/ the addition of the Racing Beat baffle plate, it creates an extra "chamber". This extra "chamber" may help create more air bubbles when the oil is sloshing around. Essentially, helping aerate the oil.

Agree or disagree? Please feel to comment, as these are my current thoughts w/o actual proven data.

I do run an RB oil baffle pan in my car.
I'm assuming you know how the stock FD 13B-REW oil pan baffles are set-up?  All those little "pockets" scare me, and it makes a bitch trying to get all the oil out.

What I'm worried about is the oil pick-up being uncovered and sucking up air.  At the very least, I would think all of that baffling would minimize that.  We've found on very spirited driving, oil can climb up the oil filler neck!  With the RB oil baffle plate, this never happens now.

I think the moroso oil pan is for the 12A, but maybe they are inter changable, because on the iscracing page it says "12A & 13B Baffled Oil Pan"

This is the moroso oil pan...
