oil for my 88 rx7?
i have a 1988 rx7 GXL (turbo i guess, i'm not a car buff, just a college student with a cool car)
i was just wondering what oil i should use? i'm from canada but spend most of the year in pennsylvania, so the climate is cold enough. i read previous posts where people suggest 10W 40 and 10W 30 and even 5W 50. anyone with the same car have any suggestions? thanks

If you have a GXL, it's not a turbo. I live in NJ (same latitude as PA) and I use either 10-40 or 20-50, depending on the time of year. 10-40 in the winter, 20-50 in the summer. Don't buy non-name brand oil - Get good stuff like Castrol, Valvoline, etc. Most guys don't use synthetic in rotaries - Just use traditional oil. Look on the underside of your hood. There may be a sticker there from the factory explaining about oil weights. If you're new to RX7's remember that they are pretty hard on their oil, so oil changes EVERY 2000-3000 miles are VERY important.
