Oil Leakage and Mad Vibrations
Ok heres my problem. I just swapped out my stock 88 N/A 13B for a perfectly running 87 N/A 13B. My original motor was attached to the stock 5-speed manual trans with a centerforce clutch. The 'new' motor was out of a 87 GXL that had a automatic attached to it. I had to swap out my flywheel from my engine as well as the 12 bucks worth of pilot bearing and oil seal in the eccentric shaft. I bolted everythign up perfectly fine, though I had some issues with teh eccentric shaft nut on the rear housings for both engines. I had the bright idea of putting a ratchet on the lowe pulley bolt on the front so i could stop the turnign of the rotors. I ended up loosening it first b4 the eccentric nut. regardless of that i bolted everything else up fine. Now comes my main concerns. I now have an oil leak coming from the lower front pulley. I also now have a wicked vibration when the car is runnign. It seems to go away at normal idle as well as at about 4k rpm. I havent had time to retighten the exhaust bolts either so they rattle a lil bit. Any help would be appreciated.

small update. The oil stops leaking once the car has cooled down. I may attempt to pull the pulleys and check the seal. Btw, I did not swap out the front balancer from the old engine, if that is the problem to my vibration woes please let me know.

Well, I have made a small decision. I will be going in after work to remove the front cover to my old 13B to see how much work I have ahead of me and to order the parts I may need. I know im going to need gaskets and seals, but I would like to know if its possible to just order what I need.
Thanks once again.

If you are saying that when you loosened the flywheel nut, you also broke the front e-shaft bolt loose at the same time, and then re-tightened the bolt, your torrington bearings may have slipped.
If that is the case, you will need to remove the front cover and check for damage to the torrington bearings.

I have checked all my mounts and they are all good, even replacd my motor mounts since i had a set lying around.
The car vibrates for most of the rpm range, except at low idle, even when stopped.

This could be a shot in the dark, but when I had an exhaust that I had made for my 7 (cat-back), none of the bends were mandrel, all were torched and mufflers mig welded and whatnot...didn't have gaskets at the time, so there were leaks...and she vibrated like MAD. Check for exhaust leaks.
