Hi everyone. I have just discovered a new problem with my 7. I have and oil leak somewhere under the oil filter. I just found it about 2hrs ago and havent had anytime to check more into it but its not the filter leaking. The leak began after i switched my exhaust to pacesetter headers and straight pipe back. Before this my oil gauge would barley move now when im at 3-4k rpms my oil is somehere between 30-60psi. any parts under the oil filter section that is more likely to leak?
1 other issue ive noticed is the car has a slight stumble almost like a miss but its not. only happens after its warmed up it will drop too 650-800 rpms and hold then just stumble every few secs. i will try and get a vid asap. but are there any ideas? The car has been sitting for a while and i finaly took it out and started to fix it up. thanks!

the leak there is pretty common , btw any info on model turb stock modded etc. that leak is probably at the oil sending unit , dont worry unless you can watch it **** out , the stumble is exactly that . its probably in the ignition check plugs wires timing etc, 650 is very low to idle at btw

The oil filter pedestal has two o-rings where it bolts to the rear side housing. These very well could be the source of your leak.

Scroll almost all the way down, Mazdatrix part number 10-1601-9954, which means the actual Mazda part number should be 9954-10-1601. Your local dealer should be able to get that in no problem.

sorry i missed the info its a 88 na, about 129k. It runs pretty good ecept idle. There are no vacuum leaks any more. I was think the oil sending unit as well, but a buddy of mine said its prolly the O rings so i will try and get to that tonight and see what it is I did not check the actual coils but i did replace the plugs and wires as soon as i got the car out of storage. The previous plugs look good, and i dont remember having this issue b4 it was parked. I will check the coils tonight as well. thanks
