The stock cooler is one of the biggest oil coolers in a production car..

If it's leaking, replace it (junkyard parts should be ok), but I'd expect the oil cooler lines to leak long before the oil cooler did.

The factory cooler is the best possible short of the $800 racing ones from Mazda racing/motorsports.

As paul says, just replace it with a junk yard one if it is leaking, but if it is the bypass just re-seal it, and if the hoses are leaking replace them.

I actually added a FC oil cooler to my Toyota V6 truck as well. It is a great cooler and one of the biggest best factory coolers out there.

yeah... just replace it with a junkyard oil cooler. Check the lines before the oil cooler core. Silkworm is right to check the lines. I replaced my whole oil cooler and lines from a junkyard, only costed $26.
