Ohlins Suspension
I bought an Ohlins coilover setup for my FC. It was second hand, so no paperwork came with it. I'd like to know some specific info about it, such as spring rates, but if anyone has any other info on it, that'd be great too.
The shocks were stamped in Japanese which leads me to believe that they are rebadged. Ohlins is Swedish.
The springs are blue... Other than that, I don't remember any numbering. I've read that they're rebadged Eibachs, but that's not confirmed.
I'll pull the wheels sometime when it's warmer. (I may bump this thread next spring.)
It's non-height adjustable. If I didn't know better I'd say that they aren't coilovers, as they looked like the factory MacPherson assemblies that they replaced... But MacPherson struts are exactly synonymous with coilovers... Effectively, the car is exuipped with coilovers from the factory.

I was looking into getting Ohlins, but they are out of production for the FC. I didn't feel like getting a rebuilt set though... However: Apperantly they are awesome on track (for their price, and being only single adjustable).
Ohlins is Swedish, but their development centre is in Japan. This is why there are many Japanese car models for which Ohlins set-ups are made which are only available there. Japanese racers (Time Attack and such) use Ohlins alot, and it's a very well respected brand there.
You probably own a set of Ohlins PCV coil-overs, since they don't make the current generation of coil-overs for the FC3S. Beware that Japanese tuner comapnies use Ohlins shocks, and modify them to coil-overs. Pan Speed is one of these tuners who set these kinds of coil-overs.
PS: If they are non-hieght adjustable they aren't PCV's.
Hope this helps, it's all I know,
Riz.

I had a set on my car a few years back, but sold them when the rear shocks blew. They weren't height adjustable, but had RS*R Springs. A friend of mine has an authentic set of Ohlins PCV Coilovers on his car, I have searched for years and have not found a complete set in good condition.
Here are some pictures, do yours look like this Pele?

Might be a good place to look to for rebuilding questions. I just came across this on a random search.
