Talking Ohh Ya! (pics) this is what i was up to saturday my "no you cannot pass switch"

Well my plan for Saturday was to install my boost controller (originally a AVC-R) But I had a change in plans.. I'm tired or hacking into my ECU for one thing, and it just seemed to be alot more complicated than it needed to be (to configure). So I got myself a High performace Dual stage Turbo XS boost controller instead. Check this sweet thing out I love it .. you set the first stage at a normal 8-10 PSI boost level just for crusing ... and you wire this switch in the 'cockpit' (cause it does fly ) and bam on the fly you trip this switch and go to the second stage set at 12-14 PSI ... and away you go its very sweet!


BTW: I did not open the package on my AVC-R so i am hoping I can return it ... if not It will be for sale at a good price.

Dude, that's hella cool! You need to get one of those switch covers that has the yellow stripes that says "ARM" on it. *grin*

I also figure it should be very good for launches. Set the low boost to just the bleeding edge of breaking tracktion, once your going and don't have to worry about the tires kick in the high boost, I'm willing to bet it should make for great 60Ft. times.

thats awesome! i was just looking for a boost controller, but didn't want to pay $500 for an elctrical one that always give u problems, very nice!!!

Yup! thats what makes it so great .. it can be turned on or off at ANY throttle point

Well, it did't work so well for my buddy's race team! but than your not running 30psi anyway

The profect B has a steering wheel button

there is 2 versions of this Turbo XS setup... from what I was told from the XS rep. they had issues with "high" boost and this controler. They released a 'high performace' version ... that's the one I got. Kinda like the BOV's, TurboXS-S and TurboXS-H. This one is soposed to be cleaned up .. I was told the pathways inside the controler were to small for the boost loads they assumed people would be running. If they are happy with what they are using, stick with it .... if not they may want to try the HP version.

If you're looking for good launches, look into the $40-$90 for a line-lock system.

I run a pair of those covered switches for both my stages of nitrous oxide injection.

Haha, would be fun i'm sure. But I like to laugh at the competition with raw HP/Weight ratio, no offence my friend but any car can run Nitrious, not any car can run with pure love. All my HP is dedication and money. I may get beat by a 4Cyl toyota camry with a 300 shot of Nitrious for the first 1/8 mile .... but I will damned if he can hold that power... I will beat him to the desitination. Nothing aginst the Juice .. but anyone can spend 1K and get juice, not anyone can do what I have .. and I intead to keep doing.


Next on the list within 2 months, Wide band & Front Mount. so I can really use my larger injectors.

The show is on my friend .. i'm only 7 months into it, and that will keep on going at a ritual pace of $2200 a month

Those go for $200-250 right? You could make a two-stage boost controller identical in operation and performance to that one for about $30-50 using common parts bought from any pnumatics suppplier.

Any car can run on love. Civic guys love their VTEC's. My buddy loves pouring cash into his 87 conquest TSI.
Not anyone can build a turbo double intermediate bearing 20B and run it in their TII. And yes it will have nitrous. I like the idea of being fast and having the engine wear for that power level, and being extremely fast and only wearing out the engine when I need to.

To achieve the kind of power I'm aiming for, I'd need a bridgeport. That would kill engine life.
Instead, I'll use nitrous when I need to.

And "raw" power would be N/A, not turbo. Forced induction is forced induction.

hear what your saying NZ, I'm sure it can be made fairly easily. But i don't have the time to fabricate somthign like that .... money is less important to me than my time is. Plus with a homemade one It would be harder to tune & I would question the accuracy untill it is dialed in correctly.

Scathcart, no offence on the Nitriuos bro .. each to there own. I might just hook up a shot of juice if i ever get beat .. as a "back up plan" .. but for now I have to get beat first

I want to get one of these, but I would like to rewire the little switch that pops up the headlights to activate it... I am all about stealth. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to wire it like that?

Should be pretty easy assuming you have a good wiring diogram. The switch is just a 12 Volt to ground relay.

There's really nothing to fabricate as such, just a few very simple pneumatic components to assemble. Basically it's a ball valve, a solenoid valve, a few short lengths of hose, some hose clamps, some wire and a switch. Maybe a relay too. It would take about an hour from the bonnet lift to test drive.

No way. These things are incredibly simple, and a DIY one works absolutely no differently to an aftermarket one. The only benefits of using an aftermarket one are a little bit of convenience and blue anodising.

But hey, as long as the product works and you're happy with it, that's cool. Boost and enjoy!
