Oh the issues!
Ok heres the deal
1990 GTU n/a. 126k, Swappped for Streetported @ 104k ish.
Tranny blown, max speed before slipping is around 3mph--enough to have driven it on the ramp![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Issue 1:
Car started fine every other day while waiting for new tranny to be delivered by fed-ex (they screwed the shipment up and it ended up in Licoln Ne.) Many long talks and the tranny is back on its way suspected arrival is tomorrow. While trying to start it on the ramp, engine won't turn over. Starter turns the flywheel, but car acts like its flooded. Did the 3 step method I read someplace. Did it about 12 times-- to the point where gas mist was shooting out the exhaust and filling the garage. Still no startup. Though I would check the coils, but it proved nearly impossible to do w/o a light tester handy. Oil no longer smells like oil-- spells like gas-- is brownish black. I think its been about 1500-2000 miles since we changed it -- right before the tranny started to have problems. Is ATX btw. Would really like to get it started before dropping the old tranny. Engine shouldn't be bad, only has 22k-ish miles on it. Is this just a severe case of flooding? Will be setting up for a good overall tuneup after the tranny is bolted back in. Pulled one sparkplug, its actually 1 yr old but looks ok. no oxidation ect.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It sounds like you are hella-flooded. Always warm your car fully when you start it, run it for at least 10 minutes AFTER the temp gauge is at normal temperature and this might not happen again. CHANGE THE OIL before you do anything!
