odd ball swap need quick advise/help

i have a 88 SE and i blew my motor the other night witch was no surprise since my oil controll rings were slowly diying. To my luck i happened to have a S5 N/A motor hanging on a stand in my shop. Now my plan is to use my S4 manifolds and everything else with the S5 block my question is can i block off the electric OMP and not swap front covers? ive already dealt with the LIM not matching up. just making sure this isnt going to F with the timing or something stupid. ive done this swap before but we swaped the front cover to keep the mechanical OMP.
