O2 sensors - emission problems
I'm some what of a newbie when it comes to doing work on my car. I've got an '85 Rx7 that I've done some very minor mods to, and I've got a '90 Rx7 that needs some work to get it to pass emissions. It's over on hydrocarbon and CO. One problem is the O2 sensor. Is there anything special you need to do in order to replace it? calibrations and such? I know nothing about these O2 sensors. I don't have much cash so I wanted to do it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On my 86 benz (carbed tho) it was over on hydrocarbons and CO also! Anyway I changed plugs, new air filter, and used some of that **** you pour in the gas tank to make your emissions better (I think its alcohol). Anyway, she passed!

O2 sensors are plug and play as stated in an above post. Get a BOSCH from the autostore. Twenty bucks give or take.
Emissions: get a manual and make SURE that your air control valve is working and that the airpump is installed and putting out.
If the car is the original it may be time for another.
