O2 Sensor: Symptoms For Going Bad?
I am making a trip to NAPA tonight, and thought I might as well do everything at once.
Shopping List:
-Brake Fluid
-New Plugs
-Wire for fixing broken misc. grounds
-o2 Sensor?
How do I know when I need a new sensor? And am I correct in that I can use a Bosch universal one?

If you keep a keen eye on gas mileage, that's your first clue.
Yes, the Bosch universal one will work - you'll just need a male spade crimp to plug into the stock plug.

When your gas mileage goes to ****, and your exhaust starts smelling rank...thats a good indication its time to get a new O2 sensor. (either that or your running open exhaust and lots of mods)

Well, I have an open exhause (no cats) but no real mods, and my exhause smells like gas. My gas milage is good though, so no 02 sensor this trip. Mabye on my next bi-monthly trip...I get a 25% discount, so I can afford it!!!!

O2 sensors are just a couple'o bucks, and they don't take very long to install. If you don't know how old the one in now is, then you might as well just spend the money on it.
