Well...We have identified a problem...Now I wonder if other people having problems passing emissions are suffering from the same problem. After discovering this problem, I spoke to my Aunt who told me the motor came from a new motor STORE in SACREMENTO Ca, not the Mazda dealership. Okay...SO if I want the motor fixed, I gotta yank the bitch out, and ship it to California....So HAILERS, yours passes with a new cat system in? Is it a one piece or is it the stock unit? Man...This whole thing is really burning me up.... I was thinking about seeing if anyone else had this problem and wether or not they passed emissions..Cause if this is the case, I may as well just get the cat, then pass the damn thing (actually I love the car...I am just a little miffed), then yank the ACV and air pump, and put a block off plate and rig the 6-ports. This ISNT what I wanted to do though...I wanted it stock!!

See the pic called REAR ROTOR/ REAR ENGINE PLATE????? See the triangular hole, sort of rounded off at the triangular ends??? The air passes thru the triangular hole on the REAR ENGINE PLATE, into the triangular hole on the REAR ROTOR. Now if it were possible, can you focus straight on the triangular hole on the REAR ROTOR, and maybe put a piece of wire thru the two holes that are inside that triangular hole??? Please. And a shot of that housing, looking straight into the exaust port. I want to show the two holes below the large hole. This is a six port engine??? I forgot to look.

It will pass emissions if I put the pump/cat back on every year!! My point here wasnt to try to defeat the emissions *****. My point was to get my car working in complete stock form. But the bungled assembly of the motor has completely foiled my plan. I need some one from Sacremento to find that place and BITCH THEM OUT!!!
