o2 ensor question
I have an 87 turbo II it started to flood so i checked for error codes and i came up with the o2 sensor code so i replaced it with a new one and still getting the code, how do i check the wire to see if theres any splits, can a test light work or do i use a multi meter?Sorry im a novice amd just need a quick answer

Also, if I remember correctly, the O2 sensor will indicate an error code when the engine is cold. Did you check for codes on a hot engine? If not, then try again under those circumstances.

O2 sensor won't cause flooding, WTS will. If the measure the O2 signal directly, it runs between 0 to 1 volt, so you need a multimeter, the check light will not work. 0.45v is the boundary between lean and rich, so at cruise it should bounce back and forth between maybe 0.2 and 0.8 volts.
You can do a lamp check at the center two pins of the check connector. a 12v lamp will do, i use an LED with a current limiting resistor (i.e. 510 ohms or 1k ohms). Less current draw than a lamp, less risk of burning out the output transistor in the ECU.
Connector fell off you WTS? Damage to the wiring harness, maybe taking out both the O2 and WTS circuits? You can check by measuring the voltages at the pins of the ECU connectors. If those are right, the wiring and the sensor are working. Values and pinouts are in ch 4 of the FSM
