not your typical starting problem...
um... when I try to start my car it just clicks. I have to push start my car to get it to turn over. It doesn't crank at all it just clicks once. I'm sure my car still holds a charge because every other electrical part works. so any help would be great. thanks

Ouchie, lucky it's relatively cheap.
That clicking noise you are hearing is the solenoid on your starter clicking trying to give juice to your starter. Take your starter to a starter/alternator repair shop and have them check out the armiture and brushes inside, it's a good bet that this is just a bad coincidence and that your brushes are just worn down or your armiture is burnt/dirty.

Is it possible to compression start or jump start my 7 when my starter is out? By out I mean not in my car. If I were having the starter rebuilt would I be able to use my car?
thanks

yes, you should be able to compression start it without the starter in there. you are just doing the job of the starter the hard way.... don't leave any loose connection for the starter hanging down though and you might want to cover up any holes that it leaves.
