NOS kit 05123NOS, anyone used it

Has anyone used this kit from NOS? The wet or the dry?

I'm looking at building a kit consisting of a Walbro 255, an SX FPR (non-RR) and that kit, with a RPM Switch and master switch.

Looking to spray a 100 wet shot, with a nozzle 6 inches from the Throttle plates in the intake elbow.

I also want to run a 50 shot (dry) on a "hidden" kit. NX sells one, but it's for carb'd V8's, Should I just buy a second kit with a tiny bottle?

This is all on an S4 N/A engine, with all emissions removed, rb header, presilencer, apex'i n1, s5 rotors, rebuilt with big street port Blue printed, flow benched injectors.

Looks good. What jet sizes? What are you doing about retard for the 100 shot?
The "tiny" bottles are meant to be plumbed with severeal in parallel. Use 10lb minimum bottles for 50 shots or higher.

Retard 4 degrees at first, and eventually adding an MSD CDI and 2 stage retard. Not sure on jet sizes yet.

Would it be possible to plumb several bottles in for my 100 shot, i wanna keep the install as stealthy as possible... Don't want anyone getting any idea's. Even if I can't, any creative ways to hide a great big blue bottle that says NOS on the side of it? :P

Yes, you can plumb in as many bottles in parallel as you wish.
Please keep in mind you will need a total of 3 retard units, one for the leading and two for the trailing.

There are plenty of ways to hide the bottles. Just get creative!

For which shot? 94 octane fuel?

Base fuel pressure of 40 psi, nitrous bottle pressure of 950-1000psi (good setting for NOS kits), you should run a 47 jet for the nitrous, and a 28 jet for the fuel.

Then hit up the dyno and tune fuel side based on wideband output from one run.

That should be good for around a 95 hp gain to the tires.

is it just me or is nos the easy way out for not knowing how to properly tune an engine for good HP?

I don't know. 95hp is extremely hard to come by unless you want to do a full out turbo conversion. This is much cheaper, especially if the need for horsepower is limited for only occasional runs.

You have to build and properly tune an engine for nitrous just as much as you would have to for anything else.

That's a pretty ignorant thing to say. Go tell scathcart that and see what kind of response he gives you.

Go read this post:

I saw in this magazine, a guy with a Maxima, had the bottle on the floor infront of the passenger seat, and he had a gym bag with a slit cut in the bottom surrounding it, so that if you looked into the car, all you would see is the gym bag, zipper side up. It unzipped so he could open the bottle at the track. Pretty good idea.

Make a false subwoofer box that holds 2 bottles, The rear panel can be hinged for easy access.
