noob turbo question

what is the best exhaust a/r for a rx7. some people have told me a t3 exhaust would work but ive heard also that the stock turbo is a 1.0 a/r. the reason why i ask is because i dont understand why a civic with a t3 exhaust can run a 60-1 compressor. how does that much air come out of that compressor housing and then when you see the exhaust side it looks like half of the compressor housings size. but on an rx7 the exhaust side has to be big, why? sorry but im learning about turbo sizes and need to get the obvious stuff out of the way, thanks in advance.

Cause the 13B pumps out exhaust gases like a 2.5 to 3.0 liter 6-cylinder.
Try and size a turbo for a similarly sized 6-cylinder, and you'll see why it's sized like that.

On top of that, it comes down to personal preference on how you want your powerband?
If you want lots of low end power, size the turbine A/R small.
If you want top end power, size it big.

Ask 100 people on what turbine A/R size to run, and you'll get 100 different answers.
