Noise from Transmission(I think)
Ok guys, after finishing my turbo swap for the second time its time to deal with the small stuff. The turbo tranny i put in makes a whirring noise. Its gear, speed and load dependent. Meaning, it only happens in 4th gear going between 40-50 mph and only with very light load. Its not super loud and its not a violent sound but a little vibration comes through the shifter. With the radio on at all it is impossible to hear. I used the throw-out bearing that came with my act clutch and it seems to be a little noisy but i can deal with that. From a mechanical standpoint does it matter where the clutch pedal disengages the clutch system? I adjusted mine very close to the top of the pedal and i haven't decided if i like it there or closer to the floor. Input anyone?

That's backwards from normal.
You're straight through in 4th, with no countershaft load.
Usually it's the countershaft input gear or bearings that first get noisy..
Maybe give that synthetic gear oil a chance to run in, I'll bet it smooths out before long.

The clutch pedal height has more to do with it's relation to the gas pedal so heel/toe downshifts are comfortable.
<edit> **** - I'm loosing it.
I mean brake & gas for double pedal down shifts.
The clutch height is just a personal preferance..
