all torque........down low right?

When you take out the 5th and 6th port sleeves they can no longer "close" during the lower RPM range, and therefore, are allowing in too much air down low, and thus costing you power.

The 5th/6th ports stay closed at low rpm's to keep air velocity high, take them out and you will lose some power down low.

well, if you have a 6 port motor, you dont exactly have gobs of torque to begin with, so every little bit helps

uh yeah bad call. I don't know why people do this. When I bought my car my ports were wired open and I went through a lot of trouble to get my ports working electronically. I noticed a big difference (although my car is ported which makes it lose even more low end)
