No Start Electrical Prolem help please
I just finished up putting the 89 engine in my 87 TII. Started turning engine over w/ EGI fuses out just to get oil pressure up. Did this a few times then saw sparks down in area just below oil pressure sending unit. From battery pos cable to starter? I've done this enough times and I'm not an idiot, things are wired correctly, I'm just not good at diagnosing electrical problems. Battery is new.
Now, hardly anything electrical works. Turn key/lights/windows/anything and the box beside trailing coil clicks once. Main fuse is good.
thanks in advance for any help, I was really hoping I could get the thing started today

Yeah, I'm sure I will be....
I've been through this problem before kinda.
Main ground is on tranny bolt. Maybe I'll try cleaning it or something, but I dont think thats it.
Plastic cover is broken on main fuse b/c of owner before me, guess he did'nt know it doesnt pull out. I'll replace that just cause the covers broken, but its not blown.

Here's a jpg of the start circuit. I'm don't read too good(EDIT:Nor have good grammer, it seems). Just what happens when you turn the key? Starter spin? Which lights do work? You have a digital meter? Checked all those fuses in the drivers compartment? Do the idiot lights lite up when the key is turned to the on position. You've probably found your problem by the time you read this. Bad ground at the starter/transmission, right?

Thanks Hailers. Idiot Lights and guages dont work b/c the "meter" fuse is blown and will blow again if i put a new one in, but thats another problem. I got my digi multimeter and fsm and I think I'm on to something so hopefully I'll have it figured out soon.
