the last time i had that problem it was the "engine" fuse . the one in the fuse panel on the drivers side interior kick panel . chances are slim that its the culprit b/c that would be too easy and convenient , but theres always wishful thinking .

and they can't figure it out ? honestly the problem has already been stated , it can't be many things . you , karack , and i ,we pretty much throw out what the possibilities are . Have him check the fuses again , I've come across a few that didn't appear to be blown but upon closer inspection i found a hairline crack . I can't think of anything else . I'll keep track of the thread . Im curious to know what the problem is .

the guy that has it thinks that there is some sort of ignition cutoff switch or something is messed up in the wiring...but as far as i know there is NO switch and if there is i didn't touch it at all. and he says that the coil is getting voltage but the computer isn't sending a signal to it to spark....so he thinks it's the wiring.....i guess :\

There was a guy on here that went by the name HAILERS. I don't know if he is still around or not but try getting in contact with him or searching for posts by him. I know I there are a couple posts about this somewhere. I had a similair problem. I never really fixed my problem though. It just sort of went away, as odd as that sounds. My coils were getting power but no signal. Checked everything I could but didn't find a thing.I think that it is somehow related to grounding the car, but I can't be sure because mine fixed itself. Anyway, good luck.

Since it apparently isnt fuses or ecu, it sounds like its either the coil packs or the cas. Since both coil packs dieing at once is VERY unlikely, its most likely the cas. Make sure the connector is ok and that the its functioning right.

this is just a lot of talk if there is no subject vehicle to actually be testing things on.. try getting the car back from them if you think they are being worthless then we can help better rather than just tossing up random things for them to test and charging you even more.

Here's the thread for when I thought i wasn't getting spark: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/car-wont-start-no-spark-need-help-soon-possible-442482/
In it Aaron Cake made the suggestion that the only way to actually test the fuses is with a continuity check, since you cant tell just by looking. Did your friend actually test the fuses, or just look at them. Just to be safe you could just replace the fuses that could cause there to be no spark.
