No Spark
Hey guys. I did a quick search but didnt find what I wanted in the time I had.
I start my RX-7 and if it starts, it revs to 1500 then dies immediately.
I checked for spark and there was none. Well, there was a couple times for a few seconds, then there was none. I had the ignitors checked and they are 100% A-OK. I checked fuses and they seem to be fine.
Could this just be a bad ground or battery connection? What could cause this? It ran good last week.

That is usually caused by the afm's plug being off or a very large air leak like a large intake hose off.
Of for some reason the afm's circuit to the Circuit Opening Relay won't *make*. That could be overcome by jumpering the fuel pump check connector near the right front strut tower. It's very unlikely it's that though.
Out of gas?
In other words I don't think it's a lack of spark. But that's just me. I think I can prove that idea. Get a can of starter fluid. Spray for now more than two seconds into the air filter. Try starting the car. If it starts momentarily each and every time, then there is no lack of spark but either a large air leak or the afm's electrical plug is off.

I think you own more than one RX?? How about removing one of the cas's and connecting it to the bad car's harness. Key ON, spin the cas with ONE of the LEAD COIL wires just out of its bore on the coil assy. When you spin the cas's gear, you should get a very large spark from the coil assy. I've even seen the wire fall down and the spark arc from the internal bore to the case outside the coil assy. You usually get a much larger spark this way because the starter is not dragging down the battery plus your not wearing out the starter while trouble shooting.
Lots of time the spark at the plug wire is too small due to flooding?? dragging starter???or whatever. Doing it my way assures you there is spark and always has been spark and the problem lies elsewhere. You have to be able to install the removed cas the right way or you should not check for spark this way.
