no power, no start
ok, karack has been helping me out with this but the more the marrier. . . . here's what's up:
won't start without starting fluid
no power at all
cleaned and balanced injectors
new cat
i've traced all wires, connections and vaccums
tried swapping bac, tps
sprayed EVERYTHING with carb cleaner looking for vac leaks, nothing
been through fsm and haynes dozens of times
anyone got any other ideas? thanks in advance.

After the engine gets fully hot, does it start any better after you turn it off?
Maybe pull the lower sparkplugs out and do a comparison b/t the front and rear rotor pulses. Put a finger over one hole at a time and spin the engine. Then do the same with the other hole. See/feel if you have a difference in the pulses from the front and rear sparkplug holes. It's a feely thing. No compression gauge required. If there is one apex seal bad you'll notice it in a irregular pulsing from that rotor compared to the other rotor.

yes, if i start it within a few minutes after turning it off it will usuall start on it's own. as far as the compression test is concerned, i'll give it a try, but karack just built it 1500 miles ago. thanks man.
