Unhappy no parking lights, tails, or radio lights.

ok, so when I turn the **** to the parking lights position, the gauge clusted lights up as well as everything else that should come on except the parking lights, tail lights and radio lights.

Any clue as to what is wrong?

Did you just by chance hook up a cd player? If so, unhook it and replace the fuse and every thing should be just fine. It's the illumination wire being improperly grounded. Don't connect it to anything and it should work alright. If you didn't just hook up a cd player, then check to see if the illumination fuse is blown. If it is, replace it with another 20 amper (i think that's what it is). If the fuse again blows when you put it in, may god have mercy on your soul. This is the worse case scenario. When did it stop working? Ask yourself that and think back to any wiring you have messed with recently. If no solution comes off the top of your head, sell you car.

well the illumi fuse was indeed blown and sticking out of the socket a bit. I replaced it with another fuse and although it did not blow, the lights still did not work.

No I didn't just install a cd player.

I did just hook up a keyless entery system(failed attempt. DAMN THOSE MAZDA LOCKING SYSTEMS!) But the ONLY 4 wires I messed with was a constant 12v, a ground and the two wires needed to hook up the system. I didn't go anywhere near anything else.

One more thing. They were fine after the install of the keyless system for a bit. As I was driving I saw the lights on the radio flicker and then die. I though it was odd. But ofcourse the radio still worked. I ejected the tape to see if that would make a diffrence and it did not. Well I arrive at the store and come back. When I crank it back up everything works. I'm happy, I push the tape in and all the lights again go off as soon as the motor grabs the tape. But the radio still works.

SO any idea on where I should begin my search for ths gremlin?
