No fcd; will i hit fuel cut?

Yesterday i installed a 91 TII exhaust on my 87 TII. I gutted the cat and now everything is running awesome besides the bad exhaust smell. But i didn't switch the downpipes because the one on the 91 has no precat on it and mine does. I figured that i would probably hit fuel cut with that downpipe. Am I right?

what are your other mods?

i dont think you will since you still have the precat in place and since the exhaust system itself from any stock exhaust isnt that free flowing... but then again it really depends on your mods.

Go buy their down pipe and mid pipe. Real nice stuff.

Just make sure to get an FCD and to port the crap out of your wastegate. Or you could swap to an S5 turbo manifold and turbo. That might make it easier for you.

Anyways, the above mods are good for some real power gain.

^hes not asking that......

oh and is it a "cai" or just the filter in the stock airbox

if its a real cai or a rx7 "cai" then you will hit fuel cut without a fcd.. if its a filter in the stock airbox you probably wont as long as you have a precat, cat, and s5 exhaust you probably wont since your not really opening up the exhaust and intake. the stock intake helps keep boost down, and since you dont have a free flowing exhaust you should be safe

but i said probably... if i were you i would make sure i do everything safe but thats not the question youre asking

Alright, so if i installed the fcd would there be boost creep? Is there an easy (cheap) way to keep that from happening.....like porting the wastegate. Oh and i have a cai

Alright, so here's another question. Would i need to buy a new fuel pump or upgrade the injectors to coincide with this new downpipe?

nope, the only reason i'm really putting it on is because it's just sitting in the back of my se and i'm a little curious on how it will sound with it on. Besides that i'll be keeping everything stock
