I've been pondering a Nitrous setup for a while I can get a used setup with a 10 pound bottle for easily less than $300 used I just haven't really looked into it
I would have to figure out a way to retard the timing and what plugs i would run if I wanted to go a step colder

then again I hate the $9 a pound to fill up

I really like the Zex kits i've used the ones with the Brain that monitors the line bottle pressure, manifold vacuum and fuel pressure, it makes sure its all good to go before it lets you use nitrous

I personally would like to know how much Nitrous anyone has pushed through a rotary, I'd love to get a 150 shot all that torque would be alot of fun

well thanks to scathart were gonna have a little speed demon, who ones spends 100 dollars a week on nitro.
and who also posts a new thread nitro blown my engine waa waa waa.
funny how somebody how everyone said to me about nitro just go turbo ull save more in the end and have safer power.
i guess scathhart is champion rotary god and we all should force 1000 dollars worth of nitro threw our 500 dollar engines.
IMO u dont seem to know all u should. i mean what kit are u gonna buy for 500, a hotwheels nitro set?
and before you say blah blah blah about it, i honestly think nitro is for tracks and events not for street use.
i think people who use nitro on a na because they cant get a turbo are just people looking for the easy way out with the shortest solution.

IMHO

nitrous is a legitimate power adder. they have been putting it on their cars longer than slapping on turbos.

I've set-up a 2 stage 300 shot on a bridge. That was a fun car.

I'm also Canadian, didn't know it was illegal here. Never had an issue with it.

Nitro is short for nitromethane, a fuel used in drag racing.
Nitrous is an oxidizer, not a fuel.
They are not the same thing. You can even run a nitrous system on a nitro-fuelled car.

Find me a one post about someone blowing their rotary on nitrous. You might find one or two where nitrous backfire popped an intake manifold apart, but never a blown motor.
Then try to count the threads of people that have blown their turbo engines.

And funny how bush said that were WMD's in Iraq. Life lesson: Stop listening to morons.

Here's another lesson: There is no cheaper way to add power to an engine than nitrous.

I particularly enjoyed that you can't even read and re-type my screen name without ******* it up.

Here's a brand new single fogger wet kit, good to 150 hp, for $400.

I, and everyone else reading your posts, don't really care what you think. Reason: see life lesson above.

See, that's your whole problem. You offered opinion where someone wanted fact from someone with experience. This is why you should have, and still should, keep your mouth shut.

You have zero experience, zero research, and zero common sense on this subject.

Nitrous on a turbo engine can be a whole new bag of worms.
What turbo? Under what conditions are you looking to use nitrous?

Scathcart... How'd you have the two stage set-up..?? Is it as simple as running two seperate systems, one hooked up on say a microswitch and the other on a button..??

I'm off to read your other thread again...
