next step?

alright so lately my car has lost tons of power and has like a studdering type of acceleration and revs up really slow.

it did not used to do it all the time, only once in a while. i thought my injectors were dirty or it was my plug wires.

yesterday i got the injectors cleaned and changed the plugs and put on some megnacore 8.5mm wires. also i had the inside of the engine cleaned by running some caostic detergent stuff through it that eats all the carbon and you run it through the injectors. It blew tons of black **** and carbon out of the exhaust.

now my car runs worse and does it all the time. so what im thinking is the cats were clogged before, and now since it blew all the carbon through them they are super clogged.

so now i am going to get the rb down pipe and pre silencer combo on it. do you guys think that will do the trick?

poor guy.

Compression has to do with the pressure your engine builds as a result of reducing the volume on a given amount of air. The rotary does it a little different than a piston engine. Maybe go a website and learn a little bit abot how a rotary works.

haha i know what compression is, i was wondering where to get a compression tester. but i doubt thats the reason because it didn't do it all the time before i had the injectors cleaned. and the car only has 86k on it.

You can use a regular piston engine compression tester available at most auto parts stores or you can probably borrow one. If it were my car I'd check the compression first and unless the compression was nice and even do the ATF in the lower plug hole trick to see if any seals can be loosened up.

*edit* Before I get flamed I know the standard compression tester isn't optimum, but we're looking for something obvious here and the compression tester will help.

well i went up to university (where all the cars go here on weekends) tonight and ran into a bunch of seven guys. i was driving around with them for a while and they told me about a rotary picnic tomorrow. they check your compression there for free at the picnic so i will go there and get it checked and eat some food. hopefully its not bad since the car only has 86k on it.
