newly aquired 87 NA

ok well i have bought an 87 NA from by friend for 300 bucks. we have slowly been fixing it and restoring her. got a few questions for yah.

i need to replace the inner shifter bushings and rubber thing, were can i find those for cheap. and the car also has a bent driveshaft, can you tell me what might have caused this and how to go about fixing it.????

go to www.mazdatrix.com, they have just about everything... some of it is pricey though.... about the driveshaft, the only thing i can think of is somebody ran over something heavy and big... any other damage under the car... e.i scrape marks on the tranny or undercarrige?

You can find almost ANY part at mazdatrix. For replacement parts like bushings, gaskets, etc, they are usually a decent price. But if you need oem mazda products, its usually crazy expensive, probably mostly becuase mazda charges them a shitload.

But they have pictures for everything, its great.

well i have found a NEW driveshaft for $224 and a USED one for $160. are these pretty good deals??

as far as damage ont he bottom theres none. were still clueless as to how this guy bent the driveshaft.

u joints werent broken as far as we can tell. ( we havent taken it all apart to get closer look yet) but we have it on jackstands and got it running and when we crawled underneatht the car you could see the drive shaft rotating unevenly. so were still confused.
