Lightbulb Newest mod.. imitation Ferrari's and othe exotics.. do-able or not?

Well you CANT call this rice even though it's doing what lots of real fancy cars have.

I'm gonna disassemble my radar detector's laser sensing LED's (only 2 wires) and run then to my liscence plate (where the 2-3" laser beam is aimed) for better accuracy.

Next, i'll mount the unit near the sun visor/rear view mirror and hardwire a cord down the A or B pillar so it's more stealth like. That way radar detection will not be hindered and laser will be improved. This "integrated" radar system will be much more inconspicuous and effective .

Nothing screams gimme a ticket more than telltale detectro cord going into the cig. lighter and the cop seeing all the flashin lights of the thing going apeshit on the dash when he's zapping you .

Yeah, i'm too poor to afford a V1 (which is made to be mounted in secret like that) so i'll make due with what I have. You think this is doable or not?

It's a pretty easy thing to do if you have experience with electronics...

My uncle has a an older radar detector. He got caught with it and the cop didn't give him any way out of the ticket (they are illegal here). The cop saw it lighting up everytime the turned on the radar. Just think about mounting the LEDs under the dash or below the radio. Wire in a kill switch as well so you can cut it off if you do get pulled (if the cop leaves the gun on, you'd be beeping when he came up to the window if you hardwired it without a switch and the cut off wasn't around). One thing to keep in mind is the amount of voltage being sent over those small wires. It's like how cat5 cable isn't really effective after 50 feet or so.

A guy in my car club has one that replaces one of the air vents on his Camaro. When you hit a button on it, it goes all black, and is out of sight. Personally my first 2 mods on the up and coming TII are a V1 and a boost gauge.

Well, detectors aren't illegal here, but cops don't like 'em nonetheless .
