New wheels are in
After months of searching and endless nights....
Rota Slipstreams... 13.5 lbs. 16x7 (down grading from 17x8/17x9.5 oz mito modular.) Gunmetal grey w/ polished lip. (they look amazing)
Miata autocross guys really recommend these wheels, so I figured i'd give them a shot.
Reasons for downgrading:
Lighter weight = less unsprung weight = faster accel.
Skinnier wheel = less force required to break loose and maintain control in a drift.
16 vs 17 = less wheel damage due to potholes.

Pretty nice, Black/gunmetal w/ a polished lip is the way to go! I wish I had the $ to get some on my car. Under the hood always comes first though.
Oh, what color is your car?

I have been contemplating getting those for quite a while now. I love the fact that they weigh in at 13.5 lbs compared to my stock 27 or 28lbs lol. That's almost 60lbs of weight loss and not to mention, unsprung weight loss.

Nice wheels! I know some people really like to pamper there cars, but don't you think giving your wheels there own bed is a bit much?
Besides, you'll have less problems with them if they each have their own bed.....

Those are nice PERIOD. Who cares what they look like, for every wheel out there you can find another wheel made by a different company that looks similar. Damn nice wheels for a badass FC.

My friend has those on his 2001 prelude even he agrees they are honda only rims...they look nice yes...but they aren't ment for a RWD application 16x7 is FWD spec... even stock FD wheels are 16x8...a 5 spoke rim in black with a polished lip is nice of course but not when they are ment for a FWD car more specifically a HONDA but to each his own I guess...just giving you a heads up.

uh. 16x7 is the stock TII size... and so what if it's a honda only wheel. if it don't say "honda" or have a big 'H' printed on it then it can go on a BMW if it wanted to...

sure you can shove mustang rims or Cobra rims on your car also...doesn't mean anything....but people are going to know what kind of wheel it is...I said to each his own but I think it's retarded personally...just my opinion I'm entitled to it.....right? OK then thanks

Also...I doubt the offset is correct for a RWD car...they are nice rims just not ment for an FC....but if he is planning on only running 205's with the tire being brought out to the edge of the wheel well then fine...but he's not going to fit a wide tire on those rims with a messd up offset. Basically a rim for looks not to give him more grip in the corners or off the line for that matter so he's basically defeating his purpose of using them for a race lightweight rim.

Yo,
Hmmm, Honda's have a 5 x 114.3 PCD? Only the ITR. Dude, Rota's are one of the best deals out there right now. Light weight, good quality TUV approved.
I'm glad you are more concerned about how the Honda boys perceive your car than the performance you gain from wheels that will help you beat them. They weigh 13.5lbs a piece. I'm thinking of getting some Rota Subzero's which are the Racing Hart CP-035 replicas.
The factory GTUs and TII wheel size is 16 x 7, +40...not a "Honda wheel".
I think those Royal gunmetal Slipstreams look great and will look nice on his FC. Congrats and update us with pics when they're on.
What kind of rubber you going for? Falken Azenis 205/55-16? Good choice! *grin*

I knew they were honda knock offs before i bought them. I was looking for a specific look which was 5 spoke with a lip... Look at the centerline prorace 2 wheels they look similar... i found several that i liked but I was going for simple. You are entitled to your opinion.... The offset is correct.
+40mm
They were 500 bucks for the SET from www.machiii.net
I'll be going with kuhmo ecstas's in a 215/50/16 if they will fit.
Now they are sitting on the floor cause my girlfriend kicked them off... but she did give me nookie in return. So all is well.
My car is yamaha f1 blue. I SHOULD have gone with the bronze... but it was sort of a skyline-wrx only style..... so i went with polished lip gunmetal.
You can see pictures of my car at www.cochran-racing.com
Oh yeah, the MIATA GUYS use these wheels all the time... so, they are not simply honda only rims.
