New To Turbo, Please Help! and Be patient!!

allright guys, im extremely new to turbo's. I have an 87 GXL, and i just got my new 89 gx Turbo swap. The car has Excellent compression, and is very clean. I'm not exactly sure what turbo "Lag" is but i may have it. i've tried searching, it came up with nothing remotley close to what i want. In First gear, just under 4K i have a slight hesitation. Under half to full throttle Not a thing. But i get this little hesitation only at really light throttle. It just seems a little wierd. the car has a similar to stock exhaust minus all the cats. It flows nice and free, other than that all emissions, OMP, and Power steering are all removed. any help would be great thanks!

The hesitation is probably not the turbo but what is referred to as the 3800RPM hesititation. The cause is ground wires are dirty and need to be cleaned. There is more info about this in the FAQ and if you search for 3800 hesitation.

i went through the 3800 Hes with my N/A... So i know exactly what you are talking about. I wasnt sure if it was an N/a thing or if they all did it. I have Read and seen so many posts on 3800 Hes, everyone on this forum should be an expert at fixing it!
