new tial BOV-

Alright, well I bought a Tial BOV from one of my friends with a DSM, for $50- He says he has the 11lb spring. when ever I shift, I cant hear anything! and it bogs as if its not letting out the pressure- the thinkg is I am running 7~psi, on my engine with a To4b hybrid upgrade. I think that the spring is to firm for my settings. what would you guys suggest?
