Question new to rotaries

i just got my 86 rx7 and i'm wondering what could i do to the motor to give get it to go faster, it already has headers and a single 2 and a half inch exhaust with a magnaflow muffler.i'm split on wether to go with a holley or stick with the fuel injection everybody keeps giving me a different opinion.i'm wondering what would it take to bust a low 14 quarter mile on the motor. i'm pretty new to this so any detailed suggestions would be appreciated guys.

I'd say do a full tune-up first. Plugs, Wires, fuel filters, Injection cleaning, Belts, Hoses, ALL FLUIDS, and make sure the aux ports are working. Re-ground the ECU, and the coils, not to mention the engine too.

Agreed...first step to going fast is to have the car running normally first...a step most people miss.
