new problem.. part needed
I was putting on a dual alternator pulley today and when I turned the left nut on the alternator something around the back snapped some sensor off. It was screwed in to metal "arm" connected to the big pipe coming from the radiator. My car won't even start now..
1. What was the part?
2. Would it cause my car not to start?
3. Anyone have one they'll sell me?

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
was it the temp. sensor for the electric fan that is by the coolant fill cap beside the radiator(1 small wire) or was it the green, 2 prong plug that looks like an injector plug in the back of the water pump housing below the alternator? Im guessing the green plug cause I have seen this happen before with that damn alternator nut.
I cant say that either should cause your car not to start, but a bad water thermosensor(greeen one) can cause starting adn running problems. It's fun to replace with the intake still on too. The other one, on top of the water neck by the coolant cap, shouldnt have any real effect on the car other than making the fan run (if equipped) all the time. IF your car has no fan, there shouldnt have been a sensor there anyway.
I should have either one of the parts Ill sell you, contact me if you need help or figure it out. hypntyz@charter.net
