Yeah, the RB stuff is a tad pricey for exhaust IMHO. I have some friends in exhaust shops that can do custom mandrel stuff for me, so I generally go custom. I'm also trying to keep the 383 as quiet as possible (no fun it people know it's in there). we're talking about a 425 HP engine, before a 125 shot... so it's not necessarily an easy thing to keep quiet, and I fear the N1s may be a little raspy/tinny on it.
I used a vinyl based black spray, and polished it off, though I've used the testors tinting spray for other things as well. Good stuff, and if I had an airbrush, I'd prolly of used that.
Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate it.

Am I missing something about the N1s? I doubt I'll go that way.. I just like how they look. I'll probably put on flowmasters, with non-polished stainless tips, 2.5 or 3", pretty low profile. True duals on the exhaust though.

This would be an interesting experiment having N1's mated to a V8, I have no idea what sound may emit from it. Wait, what the Hell am I doing participating in a V8 conversion thread!?! rotary>V8 conversion

DAMN YOU!
I was going to do the Black tinted lights on my 88 Black GTU! Bleh!
Looks damn sexy though.
Now I definitely have to do it. My friend works at a dealership autobody place so I am going to mix some car paint black with clear coat to achieve the same results.

It's going to be a TPI L98 based 383 stroker, making about 400 hp without a bottle, and 525 with. It'll have a 700R4 transmission initially, and I'm planning on putting in a T-56 if I can't tolerate the auto (which means I'll be putting in a T-56 ) I'm expecting it to be totally completed by July. The suspension/braking system has to be up to par before I'll make it fast. Does me no good to go fast if I can't turn/stop.
Oh, the motor will have aluminum heads when it's all said and done. I know the weight balance will be a little fubar'd, but with my battery placement (rear bin, pass. side *guess where I got that idea* ) and some weight mods up front, it should be no worse then 52/48 anyway. I better stop the V8 talk though, or Mark will put me in the conversions section.
