I don't mean to be insensitive, but... I'm confused. What's going on here? What are these pictures for? I mean... and I'm sincerely not trying to be rude, but... The bay looks like a manmade reef, complete with barnacles. The interior is destroyed. And while the shifter is nice, there is nothing in these pictures that separates this car from any other car, other than the fact that it happens to be manufactured and modeled similarly to this forum's car of choice. Honestly, the GTO in the back cought my eye before the Rx7...... ironic only because I hate domestics.

No offense but why not be a little nicer to the guy. Judging by his post count he is pretty new here and he is just showing off his car that he is proud of only to be torn down by your remarks. If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything. I think its a nice little car and has nice potential. Its a 20 year old car so its not going to look mint in every aspect. Normally i dont post anything on stuff like this but i just found your remarks downright rude. I know there is freedom of speech and all but there was no reason for it.

Now that Im off my soap box. Nice car dude, i like the color. Ive always been a sucker for charcoal s4s. The body looks pretty straight on it. Hows she run?

I hear you completely. But the reason I'm not going to take your nice-or-nothing advice is because you evidently didn't read the part of my post where I specifically outlined that I SINCERELY WAS NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE. Aeons before I would fabricate a crappy, home-made shifter, I would expend the elbow grease on the potentially dangerous, construction-worker-orange RUST compiling thickly and consuming the metal from around the strut tower region.

You should learn not to be so strawberry shortcake. Don't point your stiff finger at me when I'm making my opinions based on the danger that is being ignored.

is that similar to a miata short shifter if so im deffinately getting one. and also even if the enginebay a little dirty all it takes is some degreaser and and some time and itll look damn good, also complaining about how dirty its well a hose and water can take care of that. i dont under stand the people that get on threads and call the person who posts an idiot ans slam on people. isnt this made for people who like the same things and help with other peoples probs. well any ways slap some mods on that baby and have some fun. just remeber

also if you want to clean up under the hood get in there with some 150-200 grit sand paper scrape that stuff off and then go with about 500-800 grit and fine sand it and then spray some rustoleum and wala good as new. just a helpful suggestion

This is funny. You guys are being way too sensitive. Like, I'm the girl, I should be the sensitive one. If anyone would like to look at my original post when I mentioned that I was not trying to be rude, I'd be happy to start accepting appologies for everyone who is giving me **** about having an opinion. And the engine bay is not just a little dirty. The rust in the bay is going to eat that metal away, which is bad seeing as how it's located near the strut towers which is an area under pressure from beneath. Now for the last time, *I AM NOT TRYING TO BE RUDE*. I asked what the deal was with the car. Come on guys, it's a forum. *Slaps forehead* No one is going to get sad and kill themselves right?

Im not going to argue with you about it. Quite frankly this is beneath me to even reply to such a situation but its not the fact that you said you were trying not to be rude, but the simple fact is you were rude. Im not finger pointing im just stating my opinion. Replying with smartmouth remarks doesnt get you anywhere either. If you were truly that deeply concerned about the cars rust under the hood then express it in a helpful manner rather than shunning him from further progress. As far as im concerned both of your posts are sassy and immature and ill no longer argue with you on either. For all you know he could have bought the car with that shifter. If i was him your post would deter me from being a part of this forum and thats ashame because this is a great place. You might want to build up some tenure on this forum before you go and attempt to tick people off. He has one of the nicer original rx7s that ive seen on here, its just a little dusty. The body is straight and its all there. You made his car sound like it belongs on the bottom of a lake bed. While opinions are biased and perfectly fine giving cocky remarks are just pointless. I never once stepped on your toes and you were quick to fire back at a suggestion, not an order. If thats how you communicate with people thats fine but it will no longer take place with me. Have a nice day.

I appoligize for this all popping up on your thread Gray 86. Its a nice car.

Wait! This isn't Livejournal!? Whew *takes knife away from wrists, switches away from whiney emo mp3s*

I second the "Time to break out the sandpaper" comments. Your audio would also sound better if you balanced out the equalizer away from full bass and no treble. You're going to be having rust problems on your hood/headlight covers soon, it looks like your roof, too. You may want to be proactive on that, and sand that down. a full paint job would be best of course, but rattle can can work for a while if done properly.

That shifter is rediculously low.. How is it to shift?

Looks like the start of a great project

Not a bad car

However as already stated get on that rust otherwise your car is just gonna fall apart....

The shifter isnt bad... I look forward to finding out how you did it cause the stock shifter is just WAY to long.

Enjoy your ride regardless of what anyone thinks... Hell its a 7!

Ouch... I can't believe you're attempting to 'take down' a guy for trying to promote courtesy.

I think the original poster has every right to point a certain "stiff finger" in your direction.
