New owner.
Hey there, names matt, I'm from australia.
Just bought an '86 RX-7 non turbo, unfortunately its an auto![Frown](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Completely reconned 13B has done 18 thousand k's.
I'm pretty happy so far.
Anything I should know about?
And what kind of simple things could I do to get a bit more kick out of it :P
Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.
If you haven't already, read through the sticky threads at the top.
The RX-7 is a medium high performance, medium high maintenance, medium high fuel consumption true sports car.
It's best if you can do most of your own maintenance.
Aftermarket new, used, and performance parts are easily available.
Going to a shop for every little thing will get expensive.
Good experienced rotary mechanics are scarce.
The FAQ has way more information.
The complete factory manuals are available on-line.
As with any car you are new to, take it easy as you get used to the handling.
Few cars have a 50/50 front to rear weight balance and rear steer (called DTSS) like an RX-7.
For example if you try a quick lane change at 65 without practicing first at lower speeds, the rear steer will be a big surprise.

Ah I was not aware of the 4 wheel stear ![Big Grin](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I was wondering why I could take long corners at around 70-80kmph.
Only other car I've done that with has been a 300ZX, <3 HICAS :P
Yeh its quite the sports car, so nimble.
I find with the non-turbo that the engine doesn't seem to exceed the limits of its handling which is cool.
I think I might just start with a Dyno tune up, high flow air filter, Auto transmission tune up and that O2 sensor the FAQ suggests.
I'm just glad the engine has done low K's don't have to worry about rebuilding it any time soon, unless I just decide to go crazy and hold the gears to insane revs :P
Thanks for the info.

$3800AUD
Fucked paint, auto bit tired.
But 750AUD for a cheap buff and blow over.
And the engine has done 18 thousand kms. I dunno what that is in miles but meh.
Gotta sell my old R31 skyline now

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
Yeah, sounds like you found a good deal (assuming that price is good, I have no clue about what that money is in dollars). Just throw a manual in there and you're good to go.
