Question New oner needs advice

I just bought a 1988 GXL about a month ago,& yesterday i shut it off for about 10 mins. now it wont start i sprayed the throttle body it started for about a minute with lots of white smoke now it just cranks but wont start still smokes even without starting any help will be great this is my daily driver and i LOVE IT and im not getting rid of it plase help thank you.

What did you sprayed the TB with? Ether?

The TB must be completely connected to the air box & Air Flow Meter or the ECU will not run the engine.

Also there is a quirk in the ECU that if you start a cold engine & run it less than a minute & shut it off; the next time you go to start it tends to flood.
