New N1s and Exhaust Pics

Here is a pick of the N/A N1s I just go put on my 87 Street Ported GXL (Thanx to hypntyz) : Car is / was wet (rain)

Here is another:

And here is a shot of where my RB Road Race header meets the custom exhaust:

Lastly and under shot of the custom exhaust

I havent heard it yet ( as it is still at hypntyz's shop) but he says its LOUD
Enjoy:

wow, why dont they look as big as usual? i remember the N1's (im assuming dual) as having huge cans and being quite big and bulky on FCs. Those look really nice looking, I wouldve never guessed N1

*edit*
Oh and btw nice *** end of your car

Thanx Node the diff between the N1s are they have NA and Turbo models. The Turbo ones are the ones I assume every gets (bigger) but I went function over form and went with the NA version as it is an NA. The from the start of the header all the way to the inlet of the exhaust is 2.25 or 2.5 i forget but its all the same size. Seems like a good idea to me where as the Turbo N1s hav a bigger inlet/canister/and tip.
Anyway thanx. Maybe I will post my engine bay pix as well.

That looks bad *** man!!
I notice you don't have any presilencers in. Essenially it's a straight pipe. It's going to get LOUD. Tell us how it goes with performance!!

Ya I am doing the same basic setup, is that the RB modified dual-outlet header sold at mazdatrix? I have that and and am going to buy some mufflers and straight pipe it back to them but was told if I used that large of piping I would lose power. So I was thinking of going with 2". Let me know how loud it is though. Thanks.

I got the header for X-mas. Got it right from RB. No middle man. Also I know its gonna be loub but havent seen or listen to the ca rin person yet. Soooo I will let you know as soon as I do. As far as large piping was concerned. I have had so many different opinions on the size and dual or no duals I just guessed and did what made since to me. The engine has 2 outlets. So why no 2 out all the way. As far as size 2.25 out the header and in the mufflers so why not keep whats inbetween the same size. I should flow well.

Where did you find the NA N1's? Price? Size of the tip? I did not know that Apexi made NA and turbo N1's. I plan on running a single N1 when I get my 13B SP also from Kevin.

www.horsepowerfreaks.com

Type: Non Turbo Silver (60mm inlet, 90mm tip) $187.00, Turbo Silver (80mm Inlet, 115mm tip) $187.00
Chris (owner operator of Horsepowerfreaks ) is a hell-of-a nice guy. However I did have some delays with shipping because of his distibutor. But over all happy with the purchase. Tell him Groundzero7591 sent ya

If I knew how and had a computer for ****(soon, soon :-) Id make some files of GZ's car it idle and WOT and you would agree it sounds nice but it is very lound for a street car. IT will suirely inflict terror in the hearts of those unskilled enough to fall behind

Yes, you too can have such a custom and clean engine bay and performance to match on a budget. I offer economy rebuilds featuring new 2mm hurley seals and all new mazda parts(except rotor housings, end plates, e-shaft, oil pump, and rotors, for $1200, streetporting available. Engine removal, installation available, cleaning and custom painting(as seen here partially) available upon request for small fee. I have guys on hand who can fabricate exhaust like GZ's also if desired, or to any level of specification.

Ask and you shall recieve!

So we have the same header then, right? Mine is just modified to open the ports correctly I think. So the outlets from the header are 2.25" then? Is that what the inlet is to your mufflers? Most of the mufflers I have seen (& wanted) have had 2.5" inlets.

His header tubes are 2 1/4, the exhaust inlets are 2 1/4, so I made the whole system 2 1/4 for cost effectivenes, space, adn maximum flow. I think I left his 6th ports wires shut until his engine gets broken in adn full power, then we'll wire them open or make a FE6PI system out of an msd box, pill, and electric valve or airpump. I might also consider running them off his airpump with just an airvalve and T to see if it'll work like that, Ive heard of it being done.

I had an exhaust just like that for a week except mine was just a single N1. It made Harley-Davidson riders hold their ears!

Looks good curtis...you should see my *cough cough* SE engine bay now

When are you gonna have your server back up @ rx7life?
When I get my car tuned well, and finish welding up some exhaust...and find a 89+ turbo MAF...we'll have to meet up, do some time trials or something. Looks good though man....

Hell ya bro. We can goof around. I got some killer mountain roads with RX7 written all over them (check brakes, suspention, and tires before attemping them in other words). I really need suspention
BTW Post some pic of you SE engine bay. I be its sweet. I wish I had more time/money to spend on my baby. But I need to hurry up and get to the 1989 GTUs thats sittin in my yard with a bad seal and paint. Thats Kevins (hypntyz's) next project for me.
Oh and on the web server I have the server and Slackware is on it but I need to secure it , get ftp up, and load up some other mods for apache. Ohhh and figure out SQL/PHP for jefcard and his stuff
Then I am bringing it to work to sit on the big line. Kinda scary as the head sys net admin might bust me ...... no w8 I am the head net sys admin
LOL
