new mop bu still have problems
hi, i have a 91 na, i got a check engine code that was 27 and 28, the mop warnings and i have replaced the metering oil pump and the oil lines but i took the car for a test drive, and id give it more than 1/4 throttle and the engine light would come on and the engine would sputter and not rev. what could this mean, that i need a new ecu, the oil pump is working i can see oil in the brand new lines i put in. my theroy is that the original mop went south and fried my ecu but im not sure so any help would be great

bump...but i found one more problem, the mounting bracket that holds the airpump is broken in half just about...perhaps this could be causing my problems, im an idiot for not seeing it first, but the vibrations at higher rpms leads me to believe that this could be a major problem.

did you reset the ECU after you replaced the MOP? the code will stay in the ECU untill you reset it weither it's working now or not. unplug the battery for 30 secs. then see if the code comes back after driving
